Plate tectonics (from the Greek word for "one who constructs and destroys", , tekt n) is a theory of geology developed to explain the phenomenon of continental drift and is currently the theory accepted by the vast majority of scientists working in this area. In the theory of plate tectonics the outermost part of the Earth's interior is made up of two layers: the lithosphere comprising the crust and the solidified uppermost part of the mantle. Below the lithosphere lies the asthenosphere which comprises the inner viscous part of the mantle. The mantle behaves like a superheated and extremely viscous liquid.

A. the multiverse theory, while interesting, is simply the result of mathematical equations balencing themselves. its just as likely that the theory is the result of an improperly defined variable as that its real. yea, its cool, its an interesting idea, but dont let it keep you up at night. interestingly enough, there is more scientific evidence for even that theory, than there is for god

How would you compare the concept of race in humans to the concept of breeds in domestic animals?
Q. All of us, whether white, asian, black, hispanic, etc. are members of the human species with unique appearances based on our genetic heritages. Similarly, there are sub-populations within other species that can be grouped by common traits. For example, domestic animals have breeds. Dogs can be german shepherds, pugs, chihuahuas, etc. All of them are part of the canis domesticus species, but have great variation. In your opinion, is it reasonable to consider the concept of human races analogous to the concept of breeds within animal species?

A. As far as I know, biologists do not think of race as a valid biological concept and there is an overlap all across the globe of any trait one might attempt to use to differentiate races. For example, central Africans, southern Indians, and Native Australians all have identically dark skin; are they the same race or different? They have probably been geographically isolated from each other longer than European whites have been separated from Africans and thus have greater genetic variation from each other than Africans and Europeans do.
