what is the ideal ratio between a manager and its subordinate?
Q. What is the ideal ratio between a manager and its subordinate? I've read Harvard Business Review a few years back, they researched it and mention 1:10. I just want to reconfirm this. Is 1:10 ideal?

A. Despite all the current negative publicity, the military usually has a pretty good fix on these things and the ratio seems to be dependent on ability, or in this case rank. In the army two "fire teams" of four of five men report to a "squad leader". In Britain, as well as the United States, he is an NCO; However, they use the title "section leader". The Marines have three "fire teams" of four men each reporting to a commissioned officer. Because most business agendas rarely include advancing on a redoubt or fortification, I would say the HBR ratio is more of a minimum and was probably influenced greatly by this standardized military organization. A. 1) Google for a height and weight chart to see what the healthy weight range is for your height. 2) Your body needs a certain amount of fuel (food) each day to stay alive and do any exercise/activities that you're involved in. If you eat slightly less than this amount then your body will burn fat to make up the difference. If you eat way less than this amount, you'll go into starvation mode and won't lose anything. Figure out how many calories you need to eat each day to lose weight, how many extra calories you burn through exercise, and how many calories are in the foods you eat. You can do all of that here:

What would be the ideal dpi and resolution for a interactive kiosk?
Q. I'm designing an interactive kiosk for our school, but first of all I need to show an interface design to my professor. I don't have have an idea though for the ideal size/dpi/resolution to input in Photoshop so that I could start designing. :) Thanks!
